Sue is a highly experienced driving instructor with 10 years experience of training all kinds of categories of drivers with a consistently above average pass rate. She is an above average instructor. She has been graded 5 by the DSA and has had great success in ADI Check Test training, with all her clients retaining their ADI status. What this means is that Sue trains driving instructors to pass their regular tests of their continued ability to instruct, and if they fail then they can no longer teach people to drive. So far no instructor who has been to Sue for this training has failed. Nervous learners and refreshers for people who have lost confidence is a speciality, as is the teaching of aspergers syndrome and dyspraxia sufferers. Sue is a very calm, patient and understanding instructor, who instills confidence and trust in her students abilities to drive. This is confirmed by her testimonials, and the most frequent comment is about how patient she is. Sue believes in teaching people to drive in modern quality cars, and for this purpose she uses an Audi A3. Sue's current model is a 1.6 TDI with Start Stop technology which was delivered on 1st March 2010 which has the same power output her old 1.9 but is much more environmentally friendly having the new Stop Start Technology. She strongly believes in environmentally friendly driving and is a S A F E D Vans and Aggregates instructor which you can read more about by clicking here. In order to be trained by S A F E D Vans and Aggregates you have to be selected and trained by them for this course. There are only a handful of instructors in the region who have this qualification. Sue also holds a CE Licence (LGV). She has been driving large vehicles like this for 18 years and also acquired a full motorcycle licence at the same time. She has her own 17 tonne horsebox which she drives on a regular basis. Sue can teach LGV and 7.5 tonne in your own vehicle subject to insurance. She also teaches car drivers in their own vehicles, again subject to insurance. Sue is also qualified to do C P C Driver Training. If you operate goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes gvw you will require an Operator's Licence. To obtain a standard licence you must hold the relevant Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage (CPC) qualification. A Standard Operator's Licence is required for hire and reward operations and a Restricted Operator's Licence for own account. If you wish to operate for hire and reward in the UK, you will require a Standard National CPC and, for international purposes, you will require both a National and an International CPC. No CPC holder is required for a Restricted Operator's Licence. Sue will do all the necessary driver training for CPC. Another service Sue can offer is Taxi Driver Training. It is anticipated that this will become compulsory in the future for ALL taxi drivers. If you are a taxi driver, or want to be one, now is the time to do this training before the rush. SAGE is another valuable service which Sue provides, which stands for Safer Driving with Age. This is an assessment drive for more mature drivers to give them help and advice to keep them safe on the road in our modern fast driving environment. Anyone heard of Speed Recognition Training? If you have been caught speeding Sue can give you pointers to make you more aware of the speed you are travelling, and how to control it, to hopefully avoid any future speeding problems. Finally another of Sue's specialities is Fleet Training. What is involved here is for companies who have many drivers to undergo refresher training, and also training to reduce stress, fuel, and vehicle wear and tear. The result is better drivers, a better home life for the drivers (less stress to take home) and for the company fuel economy, reduced vehicle maintenance, and especially reduced carbon footprint. Finally it is worth noting that if any drivers undergo additional or ongoing training it may benefit by lower insurance premiums. Well trained drivers have less accidents!
